@voltronic Sony had plans years ago to come to market with 30TB optical discs. By now they should be 100 TIB. Wonder what happened to that roadmap.

One, they'd be really freaking expensive.
Two, almost no one puts optical drives in laptops anymore.
@voltronic True, they were going to be geared for corporate businesses for data backups. Certainly not priced for private peeps like us. But it would probably filter down to higher capacity external drives for the masses.
