My fellow people:
This is MAJOR news!!!

Decca is re-issuing their LEGENDARY recording of the Britten War Requiem with the composer conducting! It is an all-new high definition digital transfer and remastering.

Here is composer John Rutter (who was in the boy choir of the original recording) talking about this release. More info and links are in the video description.

^ if you are interested in this release (personally I'm all over it) you should know that the vinyl and SACD versions are highly overpriced ($160 and $100 respectfully), but the digital downloads are quite cheap.

For the love of all that is holy, Don't you dare listen to this streaming or in a lossy compressed format. That would be a crime against the original engineers and those who worked on this re-release. Spend the $22 and get the 24/96 or 24/192 version.
