I'm watching the original 1967 Casino Royale. It's one of the few Bond movies I had not seen before.
It's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Yikes.
@InvaderGzim
Even if you don't count it as a Bond film, it may be the most confusingly dumb movie I've ever seen. I know it was meant to be a campy spoof, but it just made no sense whatsoever.
@voltronic I think it was one of those movies you were intended to get loaded before hand and then just giggle through the movie. @InvaderGzim
@voltronic It's a train wreck.
@voltronic It's a piss take because Cubby Brocolli couldn't secure the rights to the book for United Artists but (Was it WB? I forget) didn't *dare* follow CB's Bond formula for legal reasons.
That's why it wasn't until Daniel Craig that the franchise were able to make a serious version.
Also:
Woody Allen. Say no more.
@stueytheround
Actually Woody Allen was my favorite thing about it, he pretty much played himself.
@voltronic
The one with Niven?
Yeah... I don't think that one counts... 🙃😉
