Dyson uses the absolute worst quality fasteners. It's like they are cast tin. The screw heads strip under very moderate torque, even if I'm using my nice Wera drivers.

Also, they use Philips P2 everywhere in the V10 body except for exactly one T8. Of course that's one of the Torx bits I don't own, and it's the screw I need to remove for this repair. So now I have to buy a T8 driver just to fix this vacuum.

@voltronic Dyson have been notorious for years now. Clever, yes, but with horrendous, fragile build quality.

I shudder to think how much they would charge if they had the build quality of, say, Miele.
