@GlytchMeister
I've followed the development of the Framework laptops. They are cool for sure.
@GlytchMeister
No, not at all. If I was looking for a replacement for my main system, it would be in the running. Right now I'm looking for something relatively cheap but upgradable that can be a second system so I don't have to go downstairs to my desktop for everything.
I wish my life was stable enough and I had enough square footage for a desktop 🫠😭
That’s why I have such a monstrous laptop. Thing is fuckin huge. If I didn’t grow up lugging giant textbooks and giant camping backpacks, I don’t think I’d be able to tolerate the weight.
So it’s mostly used as a desktop, except my “desk” is one of those breakfast in bed lap-tables :P My actual desk is currently buried under boxes of wedding decorations.
So a framework would be nice… ->
Either as a replacement when my current laptop inevitably dies, or as my actual portable laptop when I get enough space and stability to refuse to use my desk as a shelf.
@voltronic
Well the framework starts at like $1300, dunno how a Lenovo that hits your specs stacks up in price, tho.
Oh shit you were looking at used, weren’t you?
Welp that changes the price range estimate I was operating with lol
Unless you need relatively powerful graphics or a numpad, maybe one of those earlier model frameworks might work. Might be able to find one on eBay?
