When I needed a remote dog-monitoring cam, I went with Wyze because I thought they were more trustworthy than the others. My fault for being too trusting, I guess.
I have not ever used their local or cloud recording, but I suspect most users do.

I also dislike headlines like this, because they make it sound like the entire camera is insecure garbage when in fact there is one specific vulnerability. All the other popular IP cameras have had significant security flaws as well.
The headline should have been about failure to disclose the vuln. That's the big story here.
