Many people like NAS / RAID arrays, but be careful not to rely on them as your sole backup method. They are only truly "redundant" if you are periodically swapping out drives which get stored separately. While it may seem unlikely, the entire array could be damaged by a power surge or a drop of a few feet. Optical discs would survive both.
You also may use a cloud backup service like Backblaze. What if that goes down, and/or your ISP is knocked out?
