Just listened all the way through the new Tool album today.
I am so disappointed. It all sounds like 10-15 minute long song intros that go absolutely nowhere. Carey's drumming is excellent, but that's the only point of interest for me. If I was anyone else in the band, I'd be bored with almost nothing to do. 7empest is OK; the rest: zzzz.
I know that this album has had some critical acclaim, but to my ears this is by far their worst effort. One grumpy musician's opinion, FWIW.
