Not only did Milton rapidly intensify but NONE of the storm models had this storm intensifying. None.
We've been using these models for decades

I'm wondering if the models are taking into account the current warmth of the Gulf of Mexico?
I'm thinking that Helene did something similar??
But either way.? The slowness that it's moving and the extra heat... Bad juju...
