For breast cancer scares: I have had multiple biopsies. One for just a few white flecks on mammo, nothing on sono. I worried needlessly. But u still have to biopsy, just in case.

My films never looked anything like mom's. So i conclude The ABSENCE of black fuzzy/felted masses on sono is a good sign if you are worried. Mammo = 2 white spiky masses connected by arms

I'd would be a mess if I hadn't incorporated mindfulness into my daily life. That really helps with the fear and anxiety. The spiritual epiphany I had in 2022 knocked my understanding of God, death, universe and our specific purpose on this earth. This faith helps enormously with grief.

@ucantstop_me Mom had an irrevocable trust (liquid & non-liquid assets) brother & I were trustees. After her death liquid assets split & we chose "in-kind" investment transfer (no change of holdings) to five us time to decide on reinvesting if we wanted. At time of transfer each of us assumed the relevant tax liabilities on interest/dividends earned. Non-liquid asset tax liabilities (condo sale) 2b paid if applicable in disposal year.

It's best to talk to the financial institution trust advisor where the liquid assets are held before deciding whether to liquidate assets entirely or transfer to "in kind" or move to another institution. Tax liability laws are different in each state.

@CherNohio I plan on it. We (Husband and I) don't have a will or trust at this time. This process will encourage us to get that done asap.

@CherNohio most of her assets are liquid. She has a few stocks (literally she holds the stock certificats) so my name is now included on those. Yes we can handle the cap gains.

She moved in my place mid 2019. Her house sold in 2020. Pretty sure the only hard asset is her car which she no longer drives. For simplicity we might just arrange to sell to me.
