Just realized it's one week until my birthday and the start of my long vacation. (I'll be off from 10/24 and returning 11/4.)

I plan to do the following with my time off:
Plan a trip to Tacoma over the new year.
Clean out stuff I won't take when I move in May.
Finish outlining my novel.
Finish and revise a few short stories, and publish them on Campfire.

UK chain Pho Restaurant has publicly responded to backlash after TikTok users discovered that the white-founded business has trademarked the common Vietnamese word "pho."
Pho Restaurant's parent company Pho Holdings Ltd. has threatened legal action against small, family-owned Vietnamese businesses in the past.

Hominy Pinto soup
Onion, carrots, celery chopped and sautéed in avocado oil with salt until the carrots start to soften.
Half a big can of whole tomatoes and their juice, crushed by hand. 4 cups water, a tablespoon not-chicken bullion, chile powder, cumin, Mexican oregano.
Bring to a simmer. Add big can hominy, several handfuls fresh spinach. Let simmer a few minutes. Taste, adjust salt and spices. Add 2 drained cans Pinto beans, a handful of cilantro, and the juice of 2 limes.
