On October 3rd, 70 people were killed in Haiti when a criminalgang attacked.
So far, 2024 has brought more than 3600 deaths due to gang violence in Haiti, and hundreds of thousands are fleeing the violence.

Ugh.
I'm seeing people on FB share conspiracy-tinged posts about police/Feds not allowing private helicopters to fly in North Carolina. People want to help with the rescue efforts and they're being told they can't fly.
If this is actually happening, it seems sensible that they don't want random people flying helicopters in the area unmonitored. That seems potentially dangerous.
I don't think the Feds are blocking rescue/aid efforts.

Tesla has issued a voluntary recall for nearly every Cybertruck ever made, after the models' already-limited rearview visibility was threatened by a software issue. It's not the first time Cybertrucks faced a recall. Or even the second.
The problem is a violation of a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS), which requires feeds appear in 2 seconds or less.

CoSo friends, I've been trying so hard to find help and resources, but the walls just keep closing around me. No help is coming from my family, not only because it's complicated but because I can't have an open channel of communication with my sister w/o it turning emotionally abusive. It really left me reeling . So I'm asking very humbly for your help and solidarity, just to keep a roof over my head at this point. Here's an idea: I wonder if they stopped bailing out and subsidizing Elon Musks business ventures while he simultaneously creates massive personal tax write-offs due to his own shitty decisions (see Twitter) so he doesn't have to pay any tax for the next 1000 years .... I wonder if that stopped it might help?
