Propublica found in 2021 that Billionaire L.A. Times owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, who decided the paper would not publish its endorsement in the presidential election, paid no federal income tax for 5 consecutive years

Finally watched Monkey Man, Dev Patel's Indian action movie. It's excellent. Well paced. Beautifully shot. Great fights. The violence is more intense and bloody than I prefer, but it suits the intensity of the story.
But this isn't a mindless action movie. It deals with the corrupt police and fascist government of India. It includes a community of hijras (traditional trans women). It's political messages nearly got it buried.

Actually, these are better representations of what I find when I search for god.
It seems to me that this rash of voter fraud popping up in Pennsylvania, Colorado and Michigan are meaningful attempts to sow doubt about voting and that they are being used as a future catalyst to incite protest and ultimately unrest for MAGA to use.
Stay vigilant. Track your vote. Drop it off at a secure ballot collection site if possible. These are not mere happenings in my opinion. MAGA is not afraid to do whatever they can to get their way.

"An endorsement of Harris had been drafted by Post editorial page staffers but had yet to be published, according to two people who were briefed on the sequence of events and who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. The decision to no longer publish presidential endorsements was made by The Post’s owner, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, according to four people who were briefed on the decision."
I'll have to see if I can get time off work in early December to fly out, look at places, and secure a lease. Then I'll be loading the POD or truck and meeting the cat transporter December 30, flying back up, and meeting them when they arrive.
Which means a few days with no furniture.
Sigh.
I hate the logistics of moving.

The most difficult part of this move is going to be moving the cats.
Flying them would be a hassle, because of the requirements. A lot to coordinate.
Paying a pet transport service will be expensive.
(I don't drive, so taking them myself isn't an option.)
Most likely, for moving my stuff, I'm going to use PODS and pay people to load/unload.

Local elections are just as important and federal ones!
Had the loveliest morning.
Most days, I wake up to find Anna staring at me. She gets antsy until I get up. Chonky comes to watch me in the bathroom while she paces. I feed them, then proceed with my day.
Today, they both woke up early, got in bed with me, settled in and cuddled for an hour.
That's NEVER happened.
Sometimes, if I go back to bed after feeding them, they'll join me, but are playful and only snuggle for a few minutes at a time.
Today, they quietly gave me just what I needed.
