Well that's a first. Chonky rejected cat food.
I was short a few cans before the next autoship of cat food, so I bought a few from the grocery store. It's a brand I've never tried, but have considered buying.
My cats are the opposite of fussy eaters and love variety. Anna reacted as usual, and scarfed up the new food.
Chonky, though. sniffed it, licked it, and then looked at me and asked to be fed. Like, he didn't even recognize it as food.
So glad I didn't buy the case.
Lol, he's like Oh, I don't mean to be rude, but please return this to the kitchen and show it to the chef, it's clearly not up my standards 🤣
@tyghebright @artemis poor baby. I wonder why it didn't register as food to him.
I checked the ingredients and there's nothing weird in it.
Anna was happy to have two portions, since he didn't eat his.
I still have some pouches of the special high-calorie food I bought for him when he was sick and barely eating, so gave him that.
If he was the only cat here, I'd have left it out a while, and let him eat it or not... but there's no way to do that and prevent Anna from eating it.
time to have a serious talk w/him and explain that cats in the wild eat mice - yuk- and they need to work for their meals 🤣
