We have two plates in front of us—broccoli and dog shit—and a large number of people are wringing their hands over:

replace the broccoli w/ beans,
I feel like we should really confront the fact that the other choice is DEFINITELY dog shit and maybe focus there. there is something REALLY wrong when someone decides dog shit is an acceptable alternative

I think the bigger problem is the people deciding not to eat
Absolutely.
We're not going to change the mind of anyone who gladly eats shit.
But we might get some folks to at least order the broccoli to be sure we don't all end up with shit on our plates.
