Recently I read a book that was a ghost story featuring a nonbinary person and a trans man as the protagonists. They developed a sweet relationship, and I thought they were both well written. Their gender was part of the story, but not central to it.
It was, ostensibly, written by a young nonbinary person of color.
Over the weekend, I found out that the author, Freydis Moon, is actually a middle-aged cis white woman.
And I feel betrayed.

Oh, and the *reason* she adopted these false identities?
She was "cancelled" due to racist harassment and and ableist bullying of autistic people.
And apparently, as she gained success as Freydis Moon, she used her fans to dogpile critics.

@tyghebright Rachel Dolezal?
Heh.
Not quite. She's not claiming to be trans-racial. Just creating a persona along with a pen name and lying outright.
Previous names she's used have been Taylor Barton and Brooklyn Ray. Not sure which (if either) is her real name.
@tyghebright @sfleetucker It's a fucked up situation
@tyghebright Oh no.
