Friends in Europe, if you're in El Paso, Austin, Lubbock, or Houston--Dallas is like visiting another country in Europe. Sure, it's doable, with planning.But it's going to take several hours of travel.
That, too.
Here, you'll be driving and the scenery doesn't change much. But we do have Buc-ee's.
I'd much rather travel anywhere there than anywhere in Texass.
@tyghebright and thereβs learning Austinese.
@tyghebright The biggest difference... they have a decent train network in Europe...
@tyghebright Well at least most of Western Europe has excellent public transport infrastructure π€£
@tyghebright How funny that everyone is saying essentially the same thing!
Right!
Interestingly, I also just commented on this post on FB, showing passenger trains in the US vs Europe. Literally the post before I saw the Texas map.
@tyghebright @stueytheround - what's the tiny unconnected rail in P-town (tip of Cape Cod, MA)?
Dunno
@tyghebright our motto in Tx is once your inβ¦ yous canβt leave lol
@_txgal @tyghebright - sounds like a base I was assigned to.
@0x56 @tyghebright yes, very familiar lol π
@tyghebright
At least Europe has trains... And much better scenery than the flat of Texas?? π
