I decided to read some romance this year. It's a genre I've read very little of, and liked less, but want to give a chance.

I was looking for options to read this month, as well as for Black history month, and stumbled across Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. It's about the people working the Underground Railroad. I'm about 20% in, and really enjoying it. The setting creates real tension that doesn't rely on people being stupid or miscommunication. And there are interesting historical details.

I haven't read either, but This is How You Lose the Time War is in my stack of options.
