Kamala Harris exacerbates Biden’s existing problem with religious voters. He must work to reassure them. By Michael Gershon

washingtonpost.com/opinions/ka

Octopastry note: The upshot being "Oh noes, muh abortion ban"

Gershon speaks as if the choice to vote Biden and Trump are equal. Trump's pretended stance on abortion (which he'd discard without thought) is the least of the country's concern in the middle of a pandemic and it's associated depression.

It's been interesting. Most of the people I've seen questioning Harris' Blackness have also been anti-abortion activists.

They were never going to vote Democrat anyway.

It’s not just the abortion issue. That’s their cover. The religious nuts want women to return to the 1940s. It’s been quietly happening in various areas. Had Hillary been Henry, Democrats win in a landslide. The religious nuts made it close enough for the tampering to work.

Do not dismiss or underestimate this.

It was the Mormons who blew up the ERA getting ratified, other groups have joined in, to ensure that it doesn’t happen.

This is a stealth bomb effort.

Oh, I definitely take them as a serious threat to many people's rights.

I just don't take them seriously as potential Dem. voters.
