I know these corporations owning these media companies want to something exciting because it makes money. My problem is for some, they think the President is boring and need to change things up although this administration has passed a lot of bills for a split Congress. Do they realize not everything has to be exciting? I think more, we’re a visual society that we want to see it but do not read what’s inside.

I previously mention people are sticking to their own echo chamber, but now I’m seeing my friends picking sides on Israel-Palestine when in reality, the bad guys are the leaders heading up both sides (Hamas, Bibi). Both sides are now angry at Biden of not helping their side. I mean, I’m throwing my hands up 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m glad people are enjoying the Aurora Borealis this weekend…except if you live in the DC area where it was raining and cloudy. There might be another solar storm today. Hopefully, I can see parts of it. It’s supposed to be better tonight than the other 2 days.

For a while, I thought getting a proper education would solve the problems we have. Now, I don’t think that’s an answer because we have Ivy League people going on insane rants. I do think people have not expanded their mind because they’re too comfortable with their echo chamber. People are either worried about their image or likeness. Not sure it’s their parents, their social networks, or the expanding outlets out there.

I'm not gonna ban someone for having a differing opinion than you. I will ban for any CLEAR infractions of the ToS. But I'm not gonna ban someone for arguing with you.

This stance has caused me much pain in recent days and weeks.

Use the tools.

On one end, I understand the TikTok divestment because of Bytedance’s association with China. On the other, do we need Meta, Google, or Amazon buying TikTok? I also fault the current startup scene where companies are building to be bought instead of grow and be a competitor. There should be the next TikTok, but we haven’t seen it yet.

It’s cathartic for me what’s going on at Columbia is parallel to Israel-Palestine. You have University officials having no clue what to do with encampments and try to ask the National Guard (and they’re in the Ivy League). Then you have the “protestors” who use anti-semantic language to make their point. Yes, we need to care about Jews and Palestinians, but the people spearheading are the wrong type of people leading the charge on those sides.

So Mike Johnson meeting the same fate as Kevin McCarthy. He had to cut a deal but now dealing with looney fringe of his own party. Also, anyone wants to challenge Marjorie at that district? I know it’s heavily red, but at least there has to be a sane conservative there.

There’s two extremes of free speech. On one end, you have USC canceling all commencement speakers. On the other, you have some “protestors” talking about “pro-Palestine, even mentioning Oct. 7 repeatedly. Don’t do what USC did. I’m fine with discourse, and the burden is on the individual or group who are saying these things. Let them be stupid unless they harm or injured people.

Hello . I haven’t been active on this site. I have been busy with projects and applying for jobs, but with no such luck. Still looking for a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition/Talent Sourcer role. I’m cutting it close. If you have something in the DC area, that will great. Remote will be better, but there’s a lot of competition. If your company needs recruiting help, let me know.

My parents saw in the bulletin for Good Friday that there’s no mass. I told them there is no mass, you’re going to a service because Jesus died. They still arguing with me there’s no service because it says “No holy mass”

So there’s a protest at Vanderbilt going on about Palestine. Then, a woman needed a tampon but didn’t have it, so her friends called 911 as an emergency. Umm, maybe plan this a little better and also read up on the Civil Rights movement and how they protest.

People making a lot of conspiracies of FSK Bridge collapsing to the river when in reality, everyone signaled they’re in trouble. It saved the drivers, but the cargo ship was out of control and out of power.

If you’re in DC, the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom tonight and tomorrow. The two days are the coldest this week.

With the exception of bedbugs, Paris figured out about affordable housing. Chicago figured that out as well. Why not NYC, SF, DC, and others? nytimes.com/2024/03/17/realest

Cities need to stop focusing on maximizing profits and get most people to thrive in an able environment.

So the Orange guy says he wants a “bloodbath” and the media says “meh.” I wish there is another network or more funding for local networks to care, but you know, need to maximize profits.
