Now reading up, Christopher Nolan might be the right-wings hope of entertainment https://emorywhig.com/batman-christopher-nolan-and-american-conservatism/amp/
Also, his brother, Jonathan, created “Person of Interest” with Jim Caviezel and Westworld
I'm having a hard time not laughing at this writer's sudden revelation that Batman is an extrajudicial vigilante, and a bit of a sociopath, besides.
What's his BROTHER have to do with anything?
Dismissing Nolan's obvious talents as a director because you don't like the politics you IMAGINE he has is kind of wild.
@mcfate If it was a one off, then I would agree, but looking at it closely, there are underlying themes of neoconservatism. As for his brother, he put Jim Caviezel in the lead role in "Person of Interest". There's something behind it.
It's abject nonsense.
The studio hired a good director, and he made them a lot of money. So they hired him again to do it two more times, there's literally nothing more to this than that.
All that's behind this is some sort of weird paranoia, as far as I can see.
Do you also see some political conspiracy behind George Lucas' directing three Star Wars movies in a row?
Are the eco-warriors behind J. J. Abrams directing all the "Avatar" movies, too?
@mcfate yeah, they hired a good director and Christopher is good at what he does, but he’s also slick. That’s why the people who are supporting the movie is as important as who’s creating it. James Woods as EP is a red flag.
Might I point out it's also central to the plot of Minority Report, a blockbuster movie from 2002, and the preceding novel by Philip K. Dick
Oh God, this is the premise for “Person of Interest”
