I'm speaking at this virtual post-conference reflection session for Public Service Pioneers on 30th November: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/psp-afterword-podcast-release-tickets-401299837617
If #PublicManagement or #PublicAdministration is your thing, you might enjoy it.
We're 20% funded for November on day 1? That's Pretty Fecking Awesome!
Let's try getting fully funded THIS WEEK!
If you're new here: GO PRO! It really helps, and you'll totally dig the extra features!
As a refugee from that other platform, I’m going to try to find people through hashtags. So… #education #k12 #STEM #science #USeducation #NAEP #educators #teachers #superintendents #schoolboards
I understand we're living in this awful time where Ad Money pretty much rules the News, Internet and TV.
But this new thing where ads display DIRECTLY OVER written content and you can't get rid of them?
This is next level fuckery.
Are they trying to find out just HOW MUCH of a web page can actually be Ads?
Weird. I want to read your words, writers!
Are you a public service leader or manager? Are you fed up with the current inhumane and wasteful approach to public management/administration?
There's an alternative - it's called #HumanLearningSystems. It's built by public managers who want to help people create better outcomes in the complex reality of their lives.

Excerpt from 4 Questions to Ask for Better Conversations [10.28.22] Could be helpful if I manage to remember and my brain doesn't throw aura fits at me in the moment.
During a troubling conversation, ask:
>What desires and wants are part of this conversation?
> What concerns about the future are affecting my thoughts related to this issue?
>What power issues are impacting this conversation?
>What standards am I using to make this judgment?
Just a note for the new folk trying to figure stuff out:
This site is run by one person (who is currently very, very busy keeping us afloat in the midst of a rapid growth spurt and DDoS attacks).
That’s okay, though, because people here support each other so that Jester can focus on the things only Jester can do.

Follow @CoSoTips (or the #CosoTips hashtag) for pointers, and use #help if you need help.
@Pam60 Excellent news. Followed. (You can see things I've written in my profile/pinned stuff)
I'm interested in #PublicManagement (#PublicAdministration for North American folks!) and #complexity.
Anyone else here interested in making public service work in complex environments?
@boldboysmum let's see if we can get more of them over here!
From my colleagues at the Centre for Public Impact...
🗣️ We need to change the way we do regulation!
Together with The Kings Fund and Greater Manchester Combined Authority we've been designing a different approach, one that encourages collaboration, learning, and improves public services for those who need it most.
