Not only is March 24, 2023, the 39th anniversary of those five kids having detention together, it's also the year Bender finally completes his serial detentions!
I kid, I kid.

He was unresponsive and I felt I needed to back out of the room. I waited fer her and a few minutesd later she called for me to help her get him something to drink and then wheel her back to nurses station. As I was doing so she looked up at me and said "He doesn't recognize me anymore."
My heart just broke into a million pieces for them!!
Ughh. I'll never forget the sadness in her voice.
I said this morning that we all should hug our loved ones at every chance.
This is why!

This is really a miscarriage of Justice. The NH Supreme court says “Under these circumstances, the mere existence of an increased risk of future development of disease is not sufficient under New Hampshire law to constitute a legal injury for purposes of stating a claim for the costs of medical monitoring as a remedy or as a cause of action in the context of plaintiffs who were exposed to a toxic substance but have no present physical injury.”
This close to knowing what species of bladderwort hitched a ride on my live moss. I love this moment. Probably a common one, but who knows? It's gardening like playing Pokemon, looking for that rare. I don't understand reviews of live moss that say "weedy", I've gotten several Sarracenia hybrids, some flytraps, and this. It has carnivorous traps in the soil that prey on itty bittty pondlife critters. Such species should be called delightful surprises, not weeds.

Ran across my fav pic I've ever taken and had to share it with the world again, because I mean... Anyway, Bowie says hi.
The first violet in my #garden this year. Only the ones I gathered from the neighborhood in previous years are blooming. I found some at a nearby lake last year that had different flowers than I was used to, though it could be a reaction to a different soil. The new ones are only putting up small leaves so far, but I know from previous years that fresh transplants might still give me flowers the first spring, fingers crossed. Can be used to thicken soup and in cough syrups, skin products, candy.
Are you interested in buying from places other than Amazon? Maybe we can recommend sites that are #NotAmazon... and start a new hashtag so we can find them again later?
For now I suggest we can mention sites that sell direct to the public, and have excellent products and customer service. You can flesh out your post with more info (made in USA, free shipping, type of product, etc.)
From today's toots, we have:

Yay, not a hint of purple! My mutant henbit opened, last year I collected flowers from the mother plant, found in a neighbor's lawn, it was mowed down a few days later. I let the seeds mature in a jar on my windowsill. I was thrilled to see it come up in my garden bin, and have been checking daily to see if the blooms were as white as the buds looked. I think I'll celebrate with backyard chowder for dinner (uses foraged henbit, deadnettle, dandelion, and violets).
