Did find time to garden this afternoon and intended to plant iris. But got caught up in doing soil amendment using some of the beautiful leaf and pine needle compost from the back yard, so the actual planting will have to wait.

I've always had a secret fantasy that a sex worker would buy one of my designs in a miniskirt, because tippitiwichet is Old English slang for vag and a common name for Venus flytrap, and it's just so suitable for advertisement.
Just in case:

Anyone else get passive aggressive gardening plans, like "Mom's allergic to so I should plant..." or "If I plant this directly in the ground, the landlord won't be able to contain it" or "my ex hates this spice, so I'll grow tons of it" type thoughts? This may include thoughts of salting a neighbor's lawn with either literal salts or sticker seeds.
@Minholkin Two sleeps til Friday.
Hey, @peeppeepcircus , I need a permacultraist to hear my joy at my decision to not use pesticides when I saw ant populations increasing. The predators have moved in, look up ❤️
I found antlions under my porch! A type of damselfly larvae that digs pits in sandy soil that ants fall into when they walk across it. I've noticed a lot of ant activity in my garden, it seems these guys have finally moved in to correct the imbalance :). I used to hunt these dudes and horny toads in the "badlands" of my youth, packed with cracked red clay and a few hardy species. These dudes thrive quite well.
I love being back at a computer where I can type out the alt thing.
