Joe relocated a snake just now. He's on a rescuing roll.

Hello, animals in need? We found suckers for you!!!

As soon as Not The New Dog left, Joe handed me You Will Pry This Away From Me Over My Dead Body. Now in a soft jacket and starting to sleep :). He made momentary mouth noises about fining (something, I didn't let him finish the sentence) before I reminded him I'm a Cat Person. Haven't flipped over frightened baby yet to check the plumbing.

Sigh. Not The New Dog now lives on some pretty acreage with a nice older man. I'll miss her.

The Sims 4 is doing an event this month where you log in every day to get a free item. It's the "Happy at Home" event, so this June I get a happy little ear worm suitable for pride month every time I log in.

@AskTheDevil As Heisenberg put it, "The first sip of physics will make you an atheist, but if you keep going you will find God at the bottom of the glass."

No conflict between science and spirituality. If there's a conflict between science and religion, then religion is doing something wrong.

The only thing science has done to my faith is help me trim off the things I took on faith that were bad deals. When science has challenged my faith, my faith has just gotten less stupid.

We often mistake religion, rituals, tradition for faith or spirituality. We're taught to take things on faith by rote, often as children, and not to question. And then we worry that if we allow anything to change or challenge that belief, we will be cut off from our spiritual selves, be lost.

Joe's taking Not The New Dog to a nearby town to see if they want her. Noises are already starting about if they don't how maybe..... Omgs fingers crossed they want her. Though, I don't know, I mean one more dog in a sea of anklebiters....

I love in spite of my pain, no, I mean I love through my pain, no that's not it either. I can love because of my pain, that's what I mean.

Bummer. The therapy dog people didn't want Not The New Dog. She was so excited to meet them, she was trembling a little, and they said they need really calm dogs. That's such a shame, she's so loving and cuddly.

Orangutans making a poultice, field medicine style. This is the way Roman soldiers used plantain to stop bleeding in battle, like a bandaid made of crushed plant. An ape, using herbalism, just doing things the way primates do. Please, someone find this guy and show him you don't have to chew it, you can crush it in your fingers, that's so gross.

Storm's here. Time to rise above the anxiety of living in a trailer home in Tornado alley, and turn it into excitement and thrills.
