Tomorrow is a good day to call your local radio station and dedicate "You're So Vain" to the most popular name in your city, from anonymous.

You know that kindergarten game of "telephone" where you whisper into your neighbor's ear until the story morphs? I think that's happening with "shave and a haircut" in my little flock. Sunny has started chirping something that isn't a whistle, but sounds remarkably like it. I think the budgie flocks I let them watch all day on YouTube have it worked into their birdie language on our favorite channel. I'm glad I've been skipping flocks that have annoying chirps.

Asked my mother in law for her email so I could send the kiddo the coloring page (she comes home at the end of the school year).

Y'all.

It's a hotmail address.

Hotmail.

Pixie. Took this one for reference for the next coloring book page.

Talking about sex again, huh? Spring has really gotten to y'all.

The kiddo wanted a coloring page for Sunny and Sky, I said okay but insisted on a pirate theme. I keep trying to get her to use the Ed Emberley books that I loved as a kid, so the island and ship are straight out of his Big Green Drawing Book. Thus, this project has been a blast. Now I will color the original, then go through her books for garden themes for a colorable portrait of Pixie with some flowers and bugs :). Sized large so you can print it for kiddos in your life.

Watching Sunny and Sky in their new cage that is more than twice the size of the old one, and they're cracking me up. We got the larger cage because they've been bickering (and the new bird because hey, empty cage). It has two water dishes and two seed dishes. They are now squabbling over the same seed dish and Sky is bathing in both of the water dishes when Sunny tries to drink, hopping into whichever one Sunny goes for. Turns out it wasn't lack of space, they're just petty.

Not quite yet... but I picked up my charcoals for the first time in years and Mom's cat seemed a good subject.

Pixie (rightfully) doesn't like being in her tiny cage, and she came with clipped wings, so I made her a ladder to go from her cage to the floor. Now when she flies down she can go back inside when she wants, making it easier for her to explore while I sketch. She gets a larger cage Fri, when the boys get their larger cage delivered. Then she will get the one they are in all to herself, while I build an aviary. Also attached is a pic of her starting to realize I will spoil her as best I can.
