I am both cheered by the fact that this site filled in some keywords for me and a description (you can tell that's not my words because no 80s slang is in there - I'll fix that), and creeped out that this thing saw the infinity symbol. It's like a reminder that my art will now be out there to be eaten by all those prompting AI with those lovely keywords all helpfully filled in for me.

Turns out I won't have the money to get the art scanned until I figure something out, and I already have the 6 pieces I committed myself to, and I STILL can't stop working on these like I'll get fired if I miss a deadline.

Hold up, the sim in that ad for the next expansion is holding a tarot card!

Now that I've finished the 6 11x17 pieces I've been working on nonstop, I'm supposed to come out of the studio and work on my writing projects and chores. But I want to see this....

I feel motivated to tell you more about my partner in art crimes, Bob. Bob is not a Halloween decoration. Bob is a replica, the cast of someone's skull who donated their body to science. This is apparent with a quick glance at "his" uneven teeth (those who catch the reference get "his" inherent androgyny). Bob was alive. I always know that when I draw, and "he" gets candy, costumes, and booze on occasion. Again, Bob was alive. Don't worry. They still get to party, when hanging with me.

Done. Now I have to find a place to scan them. And the other 4 pics I've done this summer (including tracing the kitten).

By the way, the thing I've been working on that has been stalling my doing tarot readings is this couple, right here. I'm going slowly and carefully, but avoiding all distraction. When they're done, I'll have 6 11x17 pieces to get professionally scanned, then I might tweak all of them digitally. So readings might open mid October.

I was going to spread out my new tarot deck out and show you, but they are slippery, and I am lazy so here you go. Waterproof, bendable, peeps can shuffle them like a deck of cards.

I found antlions under my porch! A type of damselfly larvae that digs pits in sandy soil that ants fall into when they walk across it. I've noticed a lot of ant activity in my garden, it seems these guys have finally moved in to correct the imbalance :). I used to hunt these dudes and horny toads in the "badlands" of my youth, packed with cracked red clay and a few hardy species. These dudes thrive quite well.

I love being back at a computer where I can type out the alt thing.

My new year's resolution was to get my art skills to a level that I would feel comfortable selling prints as a "local artist", booths at events and coffee houses type thing. I do believe I have gotten there. I think I want to do a few of these especially, same colors, different angles. Not quite done with it, forcing myself to move slowly so I don't overwork it. Fingers crossed.

Just realized the mobile home we took over from Joe's friend came with a personalized license plate that we've been displaying the "wrong" way for years, fixed it.

Current art prompt is the King of Cups, a romantic and creative character, rather bard like. I decided to put on some Concrete Blonde and daydream about the potential Hades to my Persephone. Isn't he handsome so far?

I want to do more, but I want to do some mixed media experiments first. I think I like the more realistic skull in the original sketch, might spend more time simply sketching Bob. In the meantime, I'll take photos of what I did while offline for a gallery blog post. Should be back online in a few days.
