Okay, does this make sense? Does it, sadly, only make sense if I tell you the meaning of the Ace of Cups is inspiration, and a "reversal" when pulled upside down can indicate upheaval, and thus a common cat trope? The last is okay, it just means if I do a kitten tarot series, it's best targeted at the pagans, so smaller audience if I wish to keep amusing myself this way. If you can see the "coffee as grail" humor I'm happy.

Pulled a card for the next prompt, found a thing to study reflections with, seems to have gotten his attention and the prophecy shall be fulfilled.

Wanted to try a comic, pulled a tarot card as inspiration. 7 of wands, a challenge of overwhelming odds that can be fun to face, in a way. Joe says it doesn't make sense, that's 'cause he's never had a cat, right? I'll color it when I can use the wifi on the PC.

Why I giggle when I say, "I am trying to take my art seriously."

More bored than inspired, gave in to the inevitable for today's doodle. I wonder how many pages of cat doodles I'll end up with, given both a new kitty for the first time in a couple of decades of being a catless cat lady and the whole political thing.

The lucky clover barely survived the spider mite war, but is recovering and doing the frequent mutation thing quite well.

The embiggening is complete. Check this out, see how that grid's midline isn't centered? That's because it was drawn freehand. The grid is from my notes on using the golden ratio in comic book layouts. I internalized my lessons so well I didn't realize I was using them :)

Homemade bird treats are a hit. I soaked pellets in water to make a paste, added bird seed, smeared on a thin apple slice (circles with the seed star), and dehydrated on high. Served in toys. They have two of these up and all 3 birds have been excitedly flying back and forth between them, though they've been fed already.

Okay, now I want this on my big paper. This is an excellent chance to set up an art lesson for the kiddo on the grid method for embiggening your art.

I guess I'll do a post with yesterday's doodles. I think I'll make the pastel looking one more vivid today though. I like my colors a little noisy.

Now that is some fine art right there. I think I want to make 3, get them professionally scanned (larger than my scanner), frame them, auction them off to raise funds for a no kill shelter somewhere, and buy prints for my own wall. What do you think, would I raise more money by simply donating it? (Traced him and sketched over the trace lines. Also many of those pencil marks are his.)

No kittens were harmed in the creation of this sketch, only the artist. I wish I thought of this a few weeks ago, but at least I traced him while he could still fit on the paper. I should do one a month, watch him grow too big for it.

I traced the cat. There's still unmarked flesh on my hands, so I'm gonna do it again.

Wrote about a free garden I had back when I couldn't afford soil or tools, when I left that garden was fertile enough that the next person just pulled my dandelions and plopped a plant in the middle of my clover.

Another old photo, sharing this one for those who haven't met Morty, my golden eyed guardian of the terrorarium, entrance to the castle of death, apex predator of the food chain and terror of the kitchen corner.

Found a pretty shot of my little Earth Day seedling (American Plum) I put in the front yard. This one I decided to put in my store, it looks good on a hardback journal.

Indoor garden update. While sunflowers tower above the house outdoors, indoors has been flattened. I got tired of trying to maintain microbial diversity and balance while battling spider mites, they were even causing malformed pitcher leaves to come up. Also, my chores are too much for me to handle right now, so everything was plowed down, my soil was sanitized in the oven, and my collection of pots was cut in half. The extra room was filled with decorations, and fairy lights were added :).
