Do you ever get the itch to walk out into the night and start conversations with the down and out people you find? The ones that strike you, anyway. The things I am free to do when they take my kid away.....

@tippitiwichet I did that when I could do the walking. But I've always talked to people, regardless.

Down and out people often like very much to discover a person capable of seeing them. One of the biggest complaints of being homeless that I have heard is that you become selectively invisible. Visible when you want to use the bathroom or someone wants you to move along, but invisible as a person, or if you need something, or just want to have a conversation.

@AskTheDevil I always preferred when they chose not to see me over when they chose to throw drinks and shit.
