You like to play laser tag. You have a blind friend that, even before they were blind, expressed that they hated playing laser tag.
It is now your birthday. Should you invite your friend to lunch, but then drive them to a laser tag studio instead, because if they're a good sport, they'll do it anyway, even though they hate the game at the best of times, and also are blind and cannot see to play?
Or would you just go play laser tag with the rest of the group, and leave Blind Pete out of it?
@AskTheDevil I would have a way to make my friend feel included, and play laser tag before or after they were there. But, I like bonding with people during celebrations, not so fond of making people feel excluded, perhaps I'm odd.
@AskTheDevil Would you like me to spit some facts at someone? You know I would. For solidarity's sake, remember the Disney trip that didn't happen? This summer Joe was going to take "us" to Disneyland. Besides the fact that I would have needed a wheelchair that I don't own, people I don't know well trigger my spasms. I would have been in agony. I said it wasn't something I could do. He was going to take us anyway, I would have had to skip it and beachcomb to make my own good day.
