Aaand there it is. After the post-Olympics opening shenanigans, my two friends of 36 years have not only blocked me but Sharon too (I guess because it's by association).
I was holding out hope that we'd work through things over time, but the blocks just came in side by side, first me then 5 minutes later, Sharon.
Despite everything, I am saddened now it's happened, but if they're going to be bigots then accuse someone they've known since we were all teens of hating women... well, fuck 'em.

At its basic level, they bitched about the Olympic ceremony being an attack on their Christianity (they've NEVER mentioned being religious). I explained that it was art, very French and actually a different painting. So they went off on the 'disgusting Drag Queen and gays'. I told them I'm an LGBTQ+ supporter, then got hit with "So you hate women and support men pretending to be women to rape us?" Followed by the literal accusation that I'm 'obviously a woman hater' 😡
@BillyBones @KittsMotto Some people need to stop and think hard about the whole "I like pancakes." "So, you hate waffles?" meme. Sorry the haters twisted your friend's brains around. Hopefully they realize they've been manipulated some day.
