I have so many pics of this flower (my first pitcher plant flower, from a purple pitcher plant) that I thought I knew what my favorite pic was. I'm not even sure I've seen this pic before, just found it looking for art reference photos. I just had to stop and show it off.

@redenigma @dw98439 Make sure the species you pick does well in a terrarium. Flytraps like a little breeze, or they might get moldy. You can have an open screen top though, that keeps insects inside and provides a breeze. I have a taller pitcher plant (Judith Hindle cultivar) in an open jar so there's humidity at the substrate level, but she also has plenty of room to grow. Bog bowls are open air and pest control. The Savage Garden is the best book on carnivorous plants I've read so far.

@redenigma @dw98439 Bladderworts do well in a terrarium I believe, their traps are below the substrate and they have cool flowers. Several sundews like terrariums. Cape sundews don't need dormancy and are tropical so they'd probably like them, but their flowers might rise above the top unless it's a tall tank.

@redenigma @dw98439 It would be important to make sure minerals don't build up in the substrate, tanks are harder to regularly flush, unless you scoop it all out and then put everything back. They build up naturally, even if you use pure water.
