Look. I don't like the slightly arrogant thing woven into what I'm about to say, but something I saw reminded me of the whole "high IQs are better than you" and what I personally don't see in those discussions. I'll tell you what. Those tests are biased as fuck. I have an IQ of 148 and I'll drop on you what those who have "proven" high IQs don't say.

I knew a guy who was raised in the foster care system, they got more funds if he had a "learning disability". So, they wouldn't let him read. He taught himself to read in juvie, an accomplishment I consider to place him right up in my IQ range, but there ain't no way he's reaching that score on the test. Biased, they are biased.

Okay, also my high IQ is also probably highly due to my massive insecurity and how research became a coping blankie, but shhhhhhhh.

@tippitiwichet IQ tests don't test intelligence. they test social standing. they were specifically designed to elevate white upperclass boys make women & POC & poor folks seen lesser. even the newer tests are steeped in social bias (my tested IQ is 162, but it's easy to fake that. it's meaningless)

@redenigma YeeeeSSSS! Also, so super happy to see someone tested higher than me see the same social phenomenon! I was so raised to be upper class (and my family is so disappointed, and I love that).

(Okay, they shouldn't be so disapointed, I did what I was raised to do, we won't talk about Joe's paycheck and how much I don't care about it and run around with holes in my pants because rebellion is fun. After all, I dumped him in August, even if the fuck still doesn't seem to get it....)

@redenigma Sigh. Fine. He's not a fuck. He's what happens when a nice guy was abused and normalizes it, I just don't care and would rather he stayed away. None of that negates blah blah above.

@redenigma I'm still so tickled pink to find someone tested higher who isn't all arrogant about it, I love you. You are awesome.

@tippitiwichet it's just a number (and numbers are super cool & all, but it's just one of many...)

@redenigma I do like being on an asymptote, It's cool to be a "bell end" but like, in a good way. Unfortunately, if I brag about it, my peers have no idea what the fuck I"m talking about.

@redenigma It might be a little bit wrong that I'm happy to find someone tested smarter than me who agrees with me, but I think I'll just roll around in the joy of it. For maybe until I go to sleep probably sometime around dawn. Tomorrow, sorry, but you'll have to earn the joy that people might feel through your posts all on your own, because I'll probably be sleeping. That's okay. Your posts are awesome enough to do just fine.

@tippitiwichet the one thing i enjoy most about "testing smart" is being able to tell people IQ tests are garbage without being accused of "just sour grapes" lol
