Daughter hates mushrooms (the youngest, not the 20 year old, she's sane), so today's homeschooling lesson was about decomposition and nutrient cycles so I could culminate the lesson by pointing out that all the Amazon boxes sent to me are shredded, mixed with old coffee grounds, and stored to feed oyster mushrooms, so mommy and older sis are eating Amazon boxes to reduce waste, which resulted in an umprompted high five from her, so I'm doing this right.
@Agatha I put some of the mycelium in only half of the strawberry beds, hopefully she will also never have a mushroom near her mouth and yet still see the benefits of larger, more flavorful berries as a benefit, but it's nice to know she's just happy with the recycling as well :).
@tippitiwichet Good job!
@tippitiwichet
I have no problem with mushrooms as long as they aren't anywhere near my mouth.
But kudos on the recycling! π
