I am now in the space where I decide things for the next growing year. If you have a thing you want to tell me about gardening pollinator plants, and you absolutely know it is better than what you see in regards to pollinator plants, OMGS please tell me now. The world needs to know. WE ALL NEED TO KNOW. This is not a drill.

@tippitiwichet this is my jam, but for my area. With native plants.

do you have a growing zone or plant hardiness rating? not sure what region of the world you are in.

BIG fan of pollinators.

Also planning for , planting native plants from nearby warmer regions.

is coming for our and our food crops, so the more we do even on a microlevel the better.

@peeppeepcircus I am slowly gathering what can grow in my area, some based on what the bags of mixed seeds say (like the gifts my MIL gives me), some are based on the fact that I've seen them growing in the area and have gathered seeds (which would be the usual methods that bewilder her when there are moneyed methods available). Both are valid approaches :). Growing zones are a smart and less chaotic approach, I should try that.

@tippitiwichet
growing zones help me find perennials & trees that may work in my zone, but i still need to adjust for my microclimate, aka sun laser in the sky.

after getting my zone stuff in, I look about one or two US agricultural zones *higher* south of my area (warmer). as long as the plant itself can survive my winter / summer extremes along the way, that's my longterm climate migration.

MEANWHILE - i spread native grass seeds & native flower seeds for animals to take wherever needed. 💖
