I really feel called to teach. I have no formal training in that area, or money to pursue that. I have no affiliations with clubs, societies or cultural/religious groups that may consider me within their ranks, but I feel drawn to it. I love helping people to understand.

Do you have any suggestions?

@tiaugn You could investigate being an after school tutor and help struggling kids with their lessons?

They are often volunteer positions but it could give you connections and path beyond the volunteer work alone.

@tiaugn
Depends on what you want to teach.
If academics, many schools need volunteer tutors or aides.
Libraries may also need volunteers' for computer classes, etc. for adults or run tutoring after-school programs. Homeless shelters or domestic violence shelters may also need help.
Adult ed programs may also be an option, particularly if you are teaching a skill rather than academics.

@tiaugn
Another option--again, depending on what you offer, are businesses. Our local craft and hardware stores offer crafting or building classes as well.

A final option is to join a group centering around what you want to teach. There will be opportunities there to share your knowledge, I suspect.

@arthurpendragon that’s very helpful, ill definitely look into some of that. Thank you
