@TheComicHunter Personally I'm in favor of replacing the grass with clover or flowers, but that's just me. This is just ridiculous.
@TheComicHunter My hometown in MB lets you have a horse in your yard, as long as its fenced in. A few other animals too.
That town is... interesting though. For nearly a century they lived without a bar because they assumed prohibition was still on their books, even though it wasn't lol
@tiaugn I wonder how many people per year actually look at town bylaws? My city seems to randomly pick some old one and enforce the crap out of it for a bit, just to say they are doing something.
@TheComicHunter I occasionally do, just to see what I can get away with, but I’m sure most people don’t think about them much. The cities on the other hand… whatever will turn a profit or inconvenience people is what they’ll do lol
@tiaugn I often get the impression bylaw enforcement is some councilor either trying to make themselves look good, or taking some kind of revenge on someone they dislike.
@TheComicHunter I can see that
@tiaugn I suspect a lot of towns have anachronistic bylaws on the books like this. May as well have laws on how many horse hitching posts we have on the property too.
