Thank goodness we have COSO and J running this ship. I can't imagine being anywhere else on a day like today.
On November 17 we will celebrate COSO's 7th birthday.
Those of us who can, help @th3j35t3r with the expenses to keep COSO afloat. Now more than ever, it seems important to do so. Several times in the past we have funded it 100% in this month. Can we do that again?
Please consider the ways to help fund COSO and especially November at 100%.
Here's how:

Still enjoying this beautiful weather. Writing a bit and enjoying an Ichiban #cigar with some Earl Grey Negroni that has no business being as good as this is. ❤️
78F° in November in Connecticut because, you know, that makes sense 🤣 But no complaints here because that means it's great for #porchtime writing and a few #cigars. 👍🏾
The Babadook director Jennifer Kent has made some great horror films including 2018’s The Nightingale as well as an episode of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities for Netflix.
In a recent interview Kent teased:
“We’re about to announce something that’s going ahead, a film based on a book. A very well-known horror book. But I can’t really say more than that at this point.”
It's looking like that film is going to be an adaptation of #CliveBarker's The Thief Of Always.

Colectivo C733 began as five offices united under the belief that public space has the ability to transform society and help communities imagine new possibilities.
Their work is focused on creating free accessible 'cosmic' public spaces.
Eladio Dieste postulated that architecture conceived for public space should always be logical, efficient, and economical, not in a monetary way, but in a cosmic way; understanding how architecture is linked to local culture and to the people using it.

Recognized for completing 36 distinct yet cohesive public projects across Mexico in just 36 months, Colectivo C733 showcases the impact of collaborative design on public spaces and communities.
The 36 projects were part of a national effort to revitalize vulnerable urban and rural areas in Mexico, earning them the 2024 Obel Award focused on the theme of "Architectures With"

News as I get it.
Normally the morning involves a discussion about what to watch for the morning workout.
Do you wanna watch this? Do you wanna watch that? Do we have a new episode of such n such?
But this morning there was NO discussion ... there was just @IronButterfly saying ... "Laurel's sister might be alive????????" and the TV came on and that was the end of that talk🤣
Whatever gets you motivated doesn't matter. Whatever gets you excited to exercise doesn't matter.
Just get to it and do it. 👍🏾
It's a well known fact that it takes @IronButterfly like 7 to 10 business days to get moving in the morning ... but this morning I've never seen seen her move so fast before. She pulled the rower down, put on her heart rate monitor, and she was READY to go.
Why you ask?
Because the last episode of Arrow that we watched ended on a cliffhanger and she is hooked AF on the show.
It really was a great show. Glad to be revisiting it with someone who has never seen it.

Informed by meticulous studies of the Sun, the northern edge of the building is parallel to the noon sunlight of the equinoxes, while the entrance tunnel aligns with the sunset during the Winter Solstice.
The concave inner shell of the tower is perched towards the ocean. It absorbs the soothing sounds of the ocean, amplifying back through the entire structure, and even down to the amphitheater at the base.
Designed by OPEN Architecture, the Sun Tower reaches a height of 50m and is located in Yantai, Eastern China.
It stands tall as a curving observation tower and functions much like a humongous sundial, marking the changes of the seasons.
The tower’s intriguing design draws inspiration from the area’s ancient history of Sun worshipping, and the watchtowers of ages galore that were utilized to warn the Chinese Emperors of possible seaborne attacks.

Snow has finally fallen on Mount Fuji, images showed Wednesday after warm weather led to the Japanese mountain's longest-ever stint with bare slopes. A screen grab taken from a live video stream broadcast by the Shizuoka City Government on Nov 6, 2024 shows Mount Fuji with a dusting of snow on its peak.
