Finally watched the first 2 episodes of #Teacup which is based on an scifi novel written by Robert R McCammon in 1988. It was actually a great story and it was one of the first books I read that had leading people that weren't white ... of course this TV series based on the book features a ton of white people. The only Spanish woman is a woman who dies right at the beginning ... and it's possible that's a kind of homage to the book but ....

I'm not sure where this is going.

Jack Reacher has more cases to solve at Amazon Prime Video. The streamer announced that #Reacher has been renewed for season 4. Meanwhile, Reacher season 3 will debut at some point in 2025.

The news comes one week after Prime Video greenlit a Reacher spinoff series starring #MariaSten as #Neagley, a former military sergeant who worked for Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit.

Months before the second season arrives, Netflix has renewed #TheNightAgent for season 3.

This is wonderful news. She's an extraordinary talent that people need to have more exposure to. I have gone on and on about her in the past so I'll just say I'm EXCITED to see the work she's been getting on TV and also the indie films she's been doing.

She's a name you should know and an actress to keep an eye on.

I avoid people online and off who tend to spend 99% of their time in reactive or hot states. Such people are quite dangerous and often irrational.

Season 2 of #TheIrrational is following where it left off and I'm glad about that.

The addition of Karen David's character of Rose was one of my favorite choices for the show. She adds that aspect of action and constant forward motion that regular viewers like about primetime television and she's epic.

She doesn't take away from anything and in fact adds to the chemistry that already exists between the characters. The best thing about The Irrational is the relationships.

"All irrational decisions are caused by emotion." says an early line in #TheIrrational which just began it's second season.

I say this constantly. It's one of the core aspects of #stoicism which was one of the foundations of early modern psychology. Applied psych is the focus of The Irrational.

Stoicism focuses on controlling "passions" - uncontrolled, irrational emotions - and prioritizing logic and reason which help you to determine the most appropriate emotion for a given circumstance.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the season if only to catch glimpses of what I loved about S1 with the wonderful one on one moments with the trifecta of outstanding actors that made Found popular with audiences.

Since it's impossible for Sir and Gabi to have any physical interactions, I will have to make due with what little I am given but the banter and the way that relationship is written will still be enjoyable for me.

Everyone else on the show, same as first season, can really just go.

It didn't surprise me that Dionne Gipson's character Gina Quinn was the only one to understand Gabi's actions. Black women tend to have a different understanding of trauma, oppression, rage, and the extensive actions taken to deal with it day after day than white folks do. Of course she would understand and forgive Gabi without a second thought. She gets it. Everyone else of course ... well ... their reactions bore me to death and have absolutely zero nuance. Bad writing all around.

Finally watched S2E1 of #Found. I have been dreading it but I was happy with the direction it took.

My belief originally was that in letting Sir go it was going to take away that theatrical intimacy that I enjoyed so much between Shanola Hampton and the extraordinary Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

I also was worried that the equally amazing Azaria Carter would be relegated to the occasional flashback when her scenes with Mark-Paul were some of the strongest I've seen on primetime TV in a long time.
