You know ... sometimes it seems like people have absolutely no idea of the state of the world. It's like they live in this bubble were they spend their time in delusional states far from actual reality and then they're surprised when the far right shows just how much power they have to control media ...
People think this will cause Netflix to lose subscribers and money.
It won't.
All it will do is allow them to keep the audience they actually want and let the "trash" take itself out while they make more cis-het white male entertainment.
Don't be delusional about where the world is ... and don't think for a minute you're safe just because the focus is on people who aren't like you ... just wait. It will be you eventually.
I've been a subscriber to Netflix for a very long time. I am seriously considering cancelling it, and not as a "protest". Just because I rarely watch anything there anymore.
As I've started reading more, I'm spending a lot less time watching series and movies. I might sometimes feel like I'm missing out on something... but then I'll just pick up another book.
@tyghebright I haven't had a Netflix subscription for like 9 years ... it just was never worth it for me.
I used to spend dozens of hours a month watching it.
