I haven't read the original novel which is quite famous ... but given the nature of the conversations you have about humanity, human evolution, robotic rights, human rights, "others" ... etc ... I think I may be getting a good idea what kind of novel it is ...
How you choose to respond to "discussions" with the guy in charge begins to determine your character.
And this MAN in charge ... is kind of an asshole 🤣 (you play a female named Yasna).
@thewebrecluse The book is a classic, read it decades ago now so memories are vague. They were enough that this game's announcement intrigued me, though. It's reviewed decently enough so I intend to pick it up at some point. Biggest complaint I saw was it was "slow", but it's a walking sim.. who can actually jog everywhere all the time, lol.
@blackknight95857669 It's slow. It's very slow. It's on rails. It's a glorified point and click adventure + a walking simulator. You're just along for the ride listening to the dialog and choosing responses ala Bioware style decision tree. Your responses don't seem to change the gameplay in any way, shape or form, just how dialog between you and the Astronator play out.
@thewebrecluse Yeah that's basically what I've seen from reviews. I'm fine with slow, I'm getting old and slow myself 😆 I don't mind a curated experience either, games don't have to be open world to be enjoyable. I'm more interested in the dialogue and what changes based on choices made. I figure I'll pick it up on a sale/it'll show up in Game Pass/PSN+ at some point and end up being worth the time investment for me.
#TheInvincible is a most epic walking simulator 🤣 Absolutely NOTHING has happened yet except that I'm COMPLETELY INTRIGUED WITH WHATEVER IS HAPPENING which is NOTHING and EVERYTHING ❤️
