I legitimately hate a lot of people, including my own parents, for their support of this alt-right fascist authoritarian bullshit, and I have NO shame for that. Anyone who says you shouldn't hate someone who's actively doing all they can to destroy your lives and future is gaslighting you. Why shouldn't we hate people who do all they can to be our enemies? @theunabeefer Totally get it. I’m more into “strategic kindness” — i.e., if a specific individual is more likely to get their head out of their ass if you hit them more gently with the truth-stick, then that’s what I’ll do.
The “we just have to be nice to all of them” stuff is gaslighty, abusive nonsense, though, especially online. They’re just going to waste your time and emotional energy.
