: As much as I really do like the work that DC Animation does, I have been sick to death of the entirety of their superhero lineup. All they do over and over and over and over and over and over in every reboot and side universe and alternate side, universe and timeline and extra timeline and multiverse and reinterpretation is have the same characters do the same things the same ways every single time.

That shit was old 15+ years ago.

@thedisasterautist This is why I was excited for Blue Beetle. But not enough to run out and watch it so I've only seen it recently. It wasn't great. Everything crashed to a halt for exposition at times, or for emotional bonding which they apparently didn't have the creativity to accomplish along the way. And George Lopez was the very worst Deus ex character. Almost entirely comic relief while every other member of the family was also comic relief, then out of nowhere he's a tech super genius

@Fellixe: My point in mentioning it in re: DC Animation was that they do that not only in their original DC Comics-based animation re-franchises... wait, they don't have those. They literally tell the Batman, Robin, Joker, Penguin, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Superman, Lex Luthor, and Wonder Woman origin stories over and over and over in each DCA movie and mini-series and limited series. There've been nearly forty of them in the past ~20 years.

DC (Live-Action) films are just...

@Fellixe : ...as bad, having been rebooted not once but twice, and all of them except Wonder Woman's two solo films were outright aping Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
