: The UN's Hamas or Hezbollah rep (I can't rememeber which one it was) formally announced they were going to begin targeting Israeli civilians. I've seen it reported in print a few times, including by (I think) Reuters and seen it mentioned in clips on news sites online, but I've seen no mention of it so far in the broader news cycle.
Also, apparently Iran has indicated it is "seriously considering" going to war with Israel, and I can't help but almost kinda chuckle at that but not really.
@janallmac: IKR. It's as appalling as it is lamentably predictable.
That said, some of the venues from which the news came, usually online-only sources and usually activism-oriented, felt as emboldened for "the anti-colonialist cause" as they felt outraged "that Israel and The US drove them to this". Many frequenters of those blogs, vlogs, and sites commented heartily in re: "death to Zionism", "late-stage capitalism's final death throes", and "from the river to the sea".
The usual suspects.

"Begin"??
Does no one fucking remember October 7 like at all? Or, you know, any of the countless times they've targeted Israeli citizens? Jesus. I just can't with these assholes.
