I finally found a bleach-free, fume-free, non-poisonous, and septic and yard runoff safe mold and mildew murderer and preventer. Yay, me!
The bonus is it works like a charm on sun-baked mold and mildew outside on the deck half-under and partly covered by a giant shade-giving tree.
