@KGinKS: It's the usual. Historically, the Dems have been their own worst enemies since the 1960s, perhaps even the mid- to late 1950s.
@thedisasterautist @KGinKS I feel like part of the problem is the Democratic party is a pretty big tent there are quite a lot of different views encapsulated in that one party whereas Republicans are in lockstep

@KGinKS @Razdawg22: Individualism? No, far from it. Usually they fall apart from infighting and sniping over "ideological purity" disagreements, over who's hardcore/serious/true-blue enough versus one another and everyone else. The same thing happened with the Democrats.
The genuine fascists won over the GOP in the late-200s, with loads of assistance from the Soviets, Chinese, Iran, the Murdoch and related media fascists, Lost Cause adherents in the US, tech bro billionaires, and Evangelicals.
