Old sci fi shows and books thought 2023 was going to be waaaay more advanced/apocalyptic than reality. We're not very good at predicting our speed of change.

@Agatha @thedisasterautist The delta on the acceptance rate of eWallets is crazy high. I'd not believed it myself until I saw the data. 2030 is pessimistic.

Sometimes because what's new appeals to them. Sometimes because they're inexperienced and don't have the sense to wait and see if it's actually trustworthy.

I'm of the mid-range age years - young enough to love some change, but old enough to know just because it's new doesn't mean it's good.

@thedisasterautist I'd thought so too, but the stats stay otherwise. Only an eighth of the population is against it. Me? I always get paper tickets along with my hone tickets when I fly.
