Is there any credible information available regarding the purpose of the Chinese balloons? While I understand the inclination to make assumptions, it is important to approach the situation objectively and avoid jumping to conclusions, especially since the balloons don't seem to be weather balloons. Just curious about the situation, even though the Pentagon hasn't said anything yet and there's only talk of an explosion.

@VelvetDuchess There's an article reported in the Intercept in 2014 that certainly raises some eyebrows.
I feel like there would've been something from the PRC by now if it was genuinely Chinese.
