Your Spotify wrapped is a nice opportunity to put a bow on that relationship and move on, because very soon they will cease paying small timers like me (and, quite likely, someone you know and like, esp. deep cuts) and funnel all that money up to the big guys, under a false pretense of preventing fraud. Other apps sound better (Tidal, Qobuz, e.g.) and will not be stealing from the little guy, esp. if listeners show their disapproval of the Green Death Star.

@ceruleanbagel In that case, whatever inspires you to play! Generally, things that lead to you songs will sustain better than things that are focused on drills - there's a way of choosing song-based material that still can create a progression of learning. The occasional technical drill is ok, but making music is more inspiring! The first rule is have fun - no one calls it working music - play!

@ceruleanbagel The biggest problem with any app or online instruction is that it can't see what you're doing. There are physical holes to step in at the beginning that can really hold you back. If you can get even just a few sessions with an experienced teacher who can guide your physical approach, everything else will come much more easily.

@redenigma oops....I have a Grainger closer than HD, so that's not a problem. Sorry for your problem. We used to have Vicks, Homesick, etc - the evaporative always died quickly, can't take the white dust from electrostatics (ever try cleaning it out of all the nooks and crannies of an electric guitar?).

@redenigma Gave up on the usual outlets and bought a couple of AirCare units from Grainger. Floor model for the music room and "tabletop" (still pretty big) for the bedroom. Have humidity sensor built it, multi-speed, both use the same filter. Simple evaporative units.

@MotherDucker I get this every year, and having the same problem - can't get into PCP, and urgent care won't bring the big guns...

@Graci Old UM here - my view on this is complicated, but TL;DR is, reaping the whirlwind from having lusted after/chased megachurch/"seeker" $$$ in the '80s and '90s. UMC boxed itself into a corner of accepting low-rent, RW "theology" in the name of being a "big tent." Wesley's "think and let think" without the think part.
