anyone have a humidifier that works well? not the mister kind.
my humidifier's fan has deceased, so i need to replace it (currently have a small Vornado fan blowing into the box instead, but it's not really going to work long term)
@redenigma Gave up on the usual outlets and bought a couple of AirCare units from Grainger. Floor model for the music room and "tabletop" (still pretty big) for the bedroom. Have humidity sensor built it, multi-speed, both use the same filter. Simple evaporative units.
@t_heislen it appears AirCare has a monopoly on humidifiers. the one with the failing fan is a 2 year old AirCare
we don't have Grainger's here, but the filters are cheaper at Home Depot than direct from AirCare, in case you need more
@redenigma oops....I have a Grainger closer than HD, so that's not a problem. Sorry for your problem. We used to have Vicks, Homesick, etc - the evaporative always died quickly, can't take the white dust from electrostatics (ever try cleaning it out of all the nooks and crannies of an electric guitar?).
